We are in search of a WordPress expert to help us manage an active WordPress site (actually 2). We use WordPress to run our main (2) websites and are a few versions behind on updates. These sites are hosted on Flywheel and use an old(er) version of Avada for the theme. We want to get the backend of these sites updated (to include theme) to the latest versions and help keep them that way. That way we can also look at a redesign.

Responsibilities:
* Update the 2 websites to the latest versions of WordPress to include theme and plugins.
* Minimal downtime due to active Podcast feed and e-commerce plugins (Member Mouse).
* Use staging and backup processes to ensure site has minimal downtime
* Regularly perform performance checks and keep site running optimally.
* PLUS – perform minimal development for plugins/site performance
* PLUS – help with site design
Requirements:
* STRONG WordPress skills to include theme and plugin performance.
* Good basic web skills to include; hosting setups, backups, DNS, and site system optimization.
* Good English communication skills.
* PLUS – familiarity with Flywheel Hosing
* PLUS – familiarity with Avada Theme (and others)
* PLUS – familiarity with MemberMosue Plugin
Timeline:
* Flexible to start with the goal of backing up the site and beginning update within a week. Completion with 2-4 weeks.
Know issues to be aware of/prepared for:
* Caution will need to be taken to update the Theme as it is pretty old. Updating the Theme will cause the site/design to ‘break’ so we will need to manage that process with care.
* When updating the Theme we may be forced into a more detailed design update in order to ‘fix’ the breakage.
* There was some slight custom development on one of the sites that will need to be considered as well.
* As previously stated, each site has an ‘Active’ component; One has an Active Podcast (every weekday) feed. The other is used to host an e-commerce plugin that handles our (active) Membership site.

Please include in your proposal your general roadmap/recommendation for us to proceed. Clearly label this area in your proposal so we can easily find and evaluate.
Also include if you have any of the bonus (Plus) skills/experience.
