📝 JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our team and help enhance and maintain our already developed and launched Meditation App. This role requires a specific set of skills, and we are confident that the right candidate will be a perfect fit for our needs.

🔧 RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Maintain, enhance, and develop backend services using Node.js and PHP.
– Manage and configure Docker and Docker Compose for containerization.
– Use Nginx for proxying and load balancing.
– Implement caching strategies using Redis.
– Manage MySQL databases and optimize performance.
– Deploy and manage applications on AWS EC2 instances.
– Utilize AWS S3 for storage and CloudFront for content delivery.
– Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
– Handle deployment processes to ensure faster and smoother releases.
– Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration.
– Troubleshoot and resolve bugs related to app stats, favorites, recent plays, and other critical data.
– Ensure application and data security best practices are followed.

📋 REQUIREMENTS:

– Proven experience with Docker and Docker Compose.
– Strong proficiency in Node.js and PHP.
– Solid experience with Nginx and Redis.
– Extensive knowledge of MySQL database management.
– Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFront.
– Familiarity with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
– Proficient with Linux/Unix systems for server management and scripting.
– Strong understanding of application and data security best practices.
– Experience developing and maintaining the website and admin panel.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
– Ability to handle deployment processes, ensuring faster and smoother releases.

– Proficiency with RevenueCat for managing app subscriptions.
– Experience with managing app stats, favorites, recent plays, and other critical data in meditation or fitness apps.

NOTE FROM VICTORIA:

Having a developer who is proficient with RevenueCat is absolutely critical. Past experiences have taught me just how vital this skill is for keeping our app’s subscriptions running smoothly. It’s a non-negotiable for me because we need to enhance and not just maintain our current system.

Also, we’re dealing with some bugs related to how our app manages stats, favorites, recent plays, and other critical data. So, I’m looking for a back-end developer who already knows their way around these types of issues and can jump in without too much of a learning curve.

Hourly Range: $24.00-$40.00
