I am looking for a skilled WordPress developer to transfer my old website https://www.acorn-furniture.co.uk/ into a WordPress platform. The current website has approximately 33 pages and contains mostly valid content. The ideal candidate should have experience in WordPress migration and be able to seamlessly transfer the existing website’s content, design, and functionality to the WordPress platform. The successful candidate will need to ensure that (nearly) all pages are accurately replicated, including any multimedia elements and forms. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain the SEO value of the existing content is crucial.

I am looking for:
– similar look and feel/colour scheme/fonts but slick and robust

– work well in all major browsers and the whole range of screen sizes

– excellent handling of pictures  (moving between pictures using  arrow keys or mouse as preferred if the user is not using a touch screen)

– You will notice that using the arrow keys to move between the enlarged pictures includes all pictures on that page.  Each picture has associated text and a picture number e.g. “image 22 of 29”.  Currently the cycle stops when you get to the last image but I suggest it could cycle back to image 1.

– keep page names and anything else Google is concerned about to not loose page ranking

– change the Contact page to stop bots from using it to send me spam

– allow me to easily add new content (text/pictures/pages) to include new projects

– The slideshow is currently not working on my PC or iPhone so this needs fixing

– Don’t include the page called “how to read a 3D .PDF file”

I anticipate some conversations (Zoom or WhatsApp?)  through the process as I am sure I will not have given all the information you need.  Also, we will need to review and tweak the template you build once there is some content loaded.

Finally, once everything is agreed, I may need help to get everything loaded and working onto an appropriate hosting platform.

This is a medium-sized project that is expected to be completed within 1 to 3 months. I am looking for an intermediate-level WordPress developer who can confidently handle the website transfer process.  I expect an estimated price initially and would like a fixed price once everything is agreed.
