Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Home Assistant Codebase Software Engineer to contribute to the development and customisation of our Smart Home platform. This role involves working directly with the Home Assistant core, developing new integrations, and enhancing existing functionalities to meet our unique requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and customise the Home Assistant codebase for our platform needs.
– Implement new device integrations and optimise existing ones for better performance.
– Work on automation scripts and user-defined scenarios to enhance smart home functionalities.
– Collaborate with the development team to design and implement new features.
– Ensure code quality, stability, and scalability.

Key Required Skills and Experience:
– Profound knowledge of Python and experience with the Home Assistant architecture.
– Experience in developing custom integrations and components for Home Assistant.
– Strong understanding of IoT protocols and smart home device integration.
– Ability to work with version control systems like Git.

Collaboration Tools:
– Power user experience with Slack, Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Jira, Confluence, and AHA! for project management, documentation, and team communication.
