We are seeking a skilled and motivated Typescript engineer to join our team on a contract basis. You will work alongside our team as we develop features, triage bugs, and overall manage the evolution of our codebase. We’re a tech startup building a compliance automation platform to help businesses collect, verify, and process sensitive information from third-parties like their vendors and contractors.

We’ve just gone live with our first customer, and we have a roadmap of important initiatives we’d like help with over the coming months. This role will initially require approx. 15 hours per week, and aside from a weekly check in, will be a largely asynchronous role with communication over Slack.

Our core tech stack includes Next.js, Fastify, and PostgreSQL, and we use various third-party platforms for functions like payments (Stripe), async jobs (Inngest), and authentication (Clerk).

Minimum requirements:

* Proficient in TypeScript with a strong understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+).
* Experience with our core tech stack (Next.js, Fastify, and PostgreSQL).
* Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Experience with issue tracking tools like Jira or Linear.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience using Tailwind CSS or Radix UI.
* Experience working on B2B SaaS products.
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing.
