I am building an app from scratch that helps people find sport games near them.

Users can sign up with google, facebook, apple, or phone number.

Users can enable notifications and location tracking.

Users have 4 bottom drawer navigation tabs.

User can navigate to ‘Create’ page to create a ‘Sport Game’.

Users can view games (pull data from DB) and filter them to view the games closest to them.

Users can click on a game page to go to its detailed view to see description, time, location, players, and RSVP ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.

Users can see their upcoming games.

Users can click on their profile to see how many games they’ve played, how many hours they’ve played, and stretch goal would be to connect their apple watch to see how many calories they’ve burned while playing games.

Users can update their password, profile information.

Users can follow each other.

And probably some more minor things but that’s mostly the complete picture of what the app does, it is a simple CRUD app for the MVP.

I have full interactive design done and i am hiring someone to help lead the backend development, either going to use MongoDB or PostgresQL Supabase with Node TS server.

Client app will be built with React Native & TypeScript.

We also need this to be web friendly with React TS.

My background? I am a Senior Software Engineer at Apple, I built the AI Hub. Before that, I was a Senior Software Engineer at Atlassian, I built a team there. Before that, I worked for several highly successful companies. I am extremely talented with frontend and have good backend experience as well.

I will be your engineering manager. This is not some little project to write sloppy code. We need unit tests. We need StoryBook Library. We need strong TypeScript. We need clean file organization.

I will help set up a lot of the foundation and you simply need to follow and help take lead to build several features. All code will be submitted as PR’s to the Dev branch with my approval.

We will have daily standup in Discord, just via message. Though, we will need to jump on phone calls sometimes to discuss work so you need to let me know when you are online focused and working.

We will have a weekly sprint meeting for 30 minutes and a weekly sprint review meeting with our leadership for 30 minutes.

If this goes well, we can give you a raise and keep you for as long as you want, once we launch this, we will have Shaq (the NBA player) promoting it and big venture capital money coming in so you can have the chance to be converted to a full time software engineer at the company.

Hourly Range: $15.00-$25.00
