Description:
We’re seeking an experienced QA Analyst for a project-based role to help evaluate and improve the performance of our customer support system application. Our agents are experiencing slow UI loading times and LLM chat resolution issues, especially when handling multiple chats simultaneously.

Project Scope:
– Conduct thorough performance testing of the customer support system application
– Analyze and document current system behavior, focusing on UI responsiveness for multiple conversations and chat performance
– Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement across the full application stack
– Collaborate with our team to develop and implement testing strategies
– Report Root Causes for performance of application in Production

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and execute performance test scenarios isolating various potential causes for bottlenecks
2. Collect and analyze performance metrics
3. Document test results, including Chrome information and other running processes
4. Provide detailed reports on findings and recommendations
5. Assist in identifying potential optimizations in areas such as:
   – LLM call locations
   – Database deployment and read/write operations
   – Caching strategies
   – Client-side optimizations
   – Networking issues
6. Evaluate hardware specifications and their impact on performance

Requirements:
– Proven experience in QA and performance testing, particularly with complex web applications
– Familiarity with customer support systems is a plus
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Excellent documentation and reporting abilities
– Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies
– Knowledge of web technologies, databases, hardware and networking concepts
– Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a remote team of various roles

Deliverables:
1. Detailed test plan outlining performance testing approach
2. Comprehensive performance test results and analysis
3. Screen recordings of application startup and usage under various conditions
4. Recommendations report for performance improvements
5. Final summary of findings, including explored possibilities, implemented solutions, and areas for future investigation

Project Duration: 2-4 weeks ~20 hours per week (depending on findings and required testing depth)
