The Odisha Police suspended five personnel in connection with the alleged assault of an Army officer and molestation of his fiancée at Bharatpur Police Station in Bhubaneswar on September 15. The victim said that she “was physically and sexually assaulted by the police officers, including the IIC of Bharatpur.” Meanwhile, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi said the state government is taking appropriate steps to take stern action against those involved.
