Iran-backed Houthi militant group fired a surface-to-surface ballistic missile at central Israel from Yemen on Saturday evening. Houthis said the missile was aimed at and timed to coincide with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s landing in Israel after returning from New York. However, Israeli air defence system shot down the missile “outside the country’s borders,” according to the IDF.
