We are seeking an experienced Shopify developer to lead the migration of our established e-commerce website from WooCommerce to Shopify. This project requires a professional with expertise in both platforms, a strong understanding of e-commerce website development, and a keen eye for detail.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition, maintaining the integrity of our data, and preserving our SEO rankings.

Responsibilities:
– Audit the existing WooCommerce site and prepare a detailed migration plan. (We have a file with description of all the site processes)
– Set up and customize the Shopify store, including theme selection and customization to match our brand’s aesthetics.
– Migrate all essential data from WooCommerce to Shopify, including products, customer information, order history, and content.
– Setup payment and checkout methods as per current website setup
– Setup or migrate our current affiliate system with its database
– Ensure all necessary Shopify apps and integrations are installed and configured correctly.
– Implement 301 redirects and update SEO settings to maintain search engine rankings.
– Conduct comprehensive testing across various devices and browsers to ensure full functionality and a seamless user experience.
– Provide regular updates on progress and collaborate closely with our team to address any specific requirements or concerns.
– Assist with the final launch of the Shopify store and provide post-launch support to ensure smooth operation and performance optimization.

Qualifications:
– Proven experience in Shopify and WooCommerce platforms.
– Strong background in e-commerce website development and migration projects.
– Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web design and coding languages.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Experience with SEO best practices, particularly in the context of platform migration.
– Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
– Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.

Hourly Range: $20.00-$40.00
