Description:
We are seeking a talented backend developer to lead management and continuous development for our secure file storage and transfer app. Primary features of the backend are file creation, storage, transfer, and web scraping data extraction/ web automation. Experience with stealth web automation highly desired. The existing codebase is written in python, and the previous developer will be available on a limited basis to explain logic and decisions. Your role will be 60% developer 20% teaching me what you’re doing and why and 20% integration with other developers on the team to solve issues as we push to beta test the application this summer. Small team with one other front end developer and a product lead/everything else

Responsibilities:
Understand the existing Codebase
Develop metrics and tracking systems to understand code
Performance Optimization
Error management
Develop new features/APIs
Maintain/Develop current Web scraping automations
Implement strong encryption and security protocols to protect user data
Conduct thorough testing
Provide ongoing maintenance and support as needed

Requirements:
Proven experience developing APIs for mobile apps
Strong understanding of encryption and security protocols
Experience with backend development
Proficiency in programming languages such as Node.js, Python, Django
Familiarity with cloud storage and file transfer protocols
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a remote team
