We seek a skilled Laravel developer experienced in Inertia JS with Vue for the frontend and Tailwind CSS for styling to develop a custom MOT booking system for a client project. The design will be provided, so we need a developer focused solely on the development aspect of the system.

Project Requirements:

Customer Portal:

User account creation and management.
Booking MOT appointments with an option to pay online.
Ability to reschedule appointments (up to 24 hours in advance).
Integration with the UK’s VES API for vehicle information retrieval.
Text and email reminders for appointments.

Admin Portal:

Manage the number of ramps and testers available for concurrent MOTs.
Set working hours and available slots for bookings.
Reschedule customer appointments if necessary.
Manage on-site bookings for customers who turn up without prior appointments.

Staff and Tester Login:

Login functionality for testers to mark completed MOTs.
Option for admin to handle completion status.

Additional Features:

Real-time availability check for customers booking on-site.
Detailed calendar management for working times and available hours.
Integration with payment gateways for secure transactions.

Skills Required:

Proficient in Laravel framework.
Experience with Inertia JS and Vue.js.
Proficiency in using Tailwind CSS for frontend styling.
Knowledge of integrating APIs – The UK’s VES API will likely be used.
MySQL or similar
Familiarity with setting up and managing payment gateways.
Strong understanding of frontend and backend integration.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with booking or scheduling systems.
Understanding of the automotive industry, particularly MOT testing procedures. (Not required but helpful)
