We’re looking for a website developer or a team of website developers to partner with our SEO department to support the execution of technical SEO strategies and optimise our clients website health. The role will mostly involve implementing technical fixes for website issues found by the SEO team and improving site speed and performance. It may also require diagnostics if the SEO team is unable to determine the cause of technical problems.

We will require work to be split across multiple websites to help us service our SEO client portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for coding, a strong understanding of web development technologies, and a creative approach to problem-solving. Proficiency in Webflow, Silverstripe, and WordPress is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:
– SEO best practices must be followed and all technical implementation must be completed with consideration for on-going SEO strategies.
– Collaborate with our SEO team to implement technical SEO strategies and improve site health.
Implement schema markup to enhance search engine visibility.
– Optimize website performance to improve site speed, site experience and core web vitals.
– Implement technical improvements across Webflow, Silverstripe and WordPress websites.
– Implement UI/UX designs provided by our design team, ensuring a seamless user experience.
– Test websites across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices to ensure compatibility and responsiveness.
– Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise during the development process.
– Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our development processes and deliver cutting-edge solutions.
– Test on a staging environment (where applicable).
– Undertake plugin and website version updates.
–  and fix server side, DNS and hosting issues.
– Make recommendations for technical upgrades that could further the performance of client websites.
Report on the solutions applied and performance gains.
– Assist with publishing content written by the content team on clients websites

Required Skills and Qualifications
– Proven experience as a website developer or similar role.
– Proficiency in Webflow, Silverstripe, WordPress, and other relevant web development technologies.
– Strong understanding of front-end development languages and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, etc.
– Experience with content management systems and e-commerce platforms.
– Knowledge of technical SEO principles and best practices.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a limited weekly workload.
– Excellent communication skills to provide updates and collaborate effectively with the team.
– Good understanding of fundamental coding principles
– Familiar with JavaScript and Google Rendering.

Nice to Have:
– Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
– Experience with graphic design tools.
– Familiarity with tools such as Semrush, Ahrefs, SERanking and Google PageSpeed
– Ability to interpret data from Google Search Console and Google Analytics

Hourly Range: $10.00-$30.00
