The Web Developer is an experienced and reliable individual that can deliver regular pieces of work to a consistent and high standard. These deliverables will conform to brand guidelines created by our Head of Design.   

Key Responsibilities  

Manage our WordPress website including updating WP and plugins

Resolve tech issues

Support the team with issues

Add web functionality

Work collaboratively with rest of the design and wider team

Person Specification

Relevant professional qualification within Web Development or similar and work experience in a similar role

Proficient using WordPress and be continuously up-to-date with techniques and methods

Good knowledge of and ability to use HTML, CSS, JavaScript

A strong understanding and interest in web and online

Proven experience with WordPress, with a strong portfolio of work

Experience working with Mobile Apps is an advantage

Some experience or interest in UX/UI (not a must)

Additionally

Demonstrable experience of working effectively with others and independently  

Excellent e-communication skills

You’re naturally positive, receptive to creative feedback and work well collaboratively

Time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills – with a particular focus on attention to detail and delivering high-quality work

Self-motivated and self-reliant

Willingness to learn, refine and develop new skills

An eye for detail plus the ability to produce accurate work when under pressure

Willing to support the sales and fundraising initiatives of Islam21c

Participation at our Annual Dinners and occasional team-building activities  

Hourly Range: $5.00-$10.00
