We are looking for a skilled Web Developer to update and develop a responsive, user-friendly wordpress website. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of front-end and back-end development technologies, as well as experience with web design principles and best practices. This role is offered as a part-time independent contractor position, allowing flexibility in scheduling and work arrangements. The candidate must be fluent in English and able to work in the Mountain Time (MT) zone.

Key Responsibilities:

Front-End Development:

Develop responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., Bootstrap, React, Angular).
Translate design mockups and wireframes into functional web pages with a focus on usability and accessibility.
Optimize web performance and ensure compatibility across different browsers and devices.
Back-End Development:

Design and implement server-side logic and database structures using programming languages such as Python, Ruby, PHP, or Node.js.
Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services to support dynamic web applications.
Ensure data security and implement authentication and authorization mechanisms as necessary.
Database Management:

Design, develop, and optimize database schemas to efficiently store and retrieve data.
Write SQL queries and database scripts to manipulate data and perform database operations.
Implement database migrations and ensure data integrity and consistency.
Technical Problem-Solving:

Troubleshoot and debug issues related to website functionality, performance, and compatibility.
Identify technical challenges and propose innovative solutions to address them.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development practices.
Collaboration and Communication:

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Web Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing web projects and applications.
Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
Experience with back-end development frameworks and languages such as Python/Django, Ruby on Rails, PHP/Laravel, or Node.js/Express.
Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and SQL/NoSQL databases.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in English and the ability to work in the Mountain Time (MT) zone.
