Climative is developing a web portal (developed in react) that enables homeowners to view a an energy and emissions rating for their home. We are deploying across several Canadian jurisdictions within 2024 and are planning to go to the USA very soon. The application functions both in desktop and mobile browser formats.

Our homeowner-facing tools, through contractual obligations with municipal cliants, need to be reviewed for compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA by a third party, for both mobile and desktop browser interactivity.

The tools as-built have been reviewed by internal developer resources with some limited accessibility training. We would like to engage a contractor to first conduct an initial 3rd party review of the as-built software.

Based on initial results, Climative’s internal resources will effect the recommended updates and resubmit to the contractor for review. We plan to iterate in this manner until the Climative tool is substantially compliant with the required standard.

Expected results include written reports in an industry-standard format that Climative can present to its municipal clients to certify its compliance with the required standard.

There is an opportunity for several follow-up projects after completion of this first effort – new features and additional applications are planned for release in 2024.
