US issued a massive tsunami alert following the 8.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula in the early hours of July 30. The entirety of US West Coast and the island state of Hawaii was placed on high alert with officials issuing evacuation orders, urging public to move to higher ground.
