The announcement by the United States that it has provided Ukraine with ATACMS long-range missiles has put spotlight on Germany’s continued refusal to send similar long-range Taurus missiles to Kyiv. Just hours before Washington’s announcement on ATACMS delivery, German chancellor Olaf Scholz reiterated his opposition to supply Taurus missiles to Ukraine.
