we are indie game studio and we are going to start our new project in August. the game is a soulslike game inspired by elden ring but it will be completly different with amazing fights, puzzles , traps and levels. the game will feature  3 main characters , 6 final bosses, 5 side bosses , 30+ monsters , +40 different weapon, + 30 skins, 6 different levels and more.

animations is one of the most important part in soulslike game to achieve nice gameplay to the player experience.

We are looking for somone who can do the following :

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Unreal Engine Animation Integration Developer with expertise in advanced locomotion systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for integrating and implementing high-quality movement and combat animations created by our animation team. You will work closely with animators, designers, and developers to ensure smooth and realistic character movements that enhance the gameplay experience.

Key Responsibilities:
– Integrate and implement advanced locomotion systems using animations provided by the animation team.
– Set up and manage animation blueprints, state machines, and blend spaces for smooth transitions between movement states.
– Utilize Inverse Kinematics (IK) and Forward Kinematics (FK) for realistic limb movements and interactions.
– Implement ragdoll physics for dynamic character reactions to impacts and deaths.
– Use procedural animation techniques to adapt character movements to various terrains and obstacles.
– Employ animation montages for complex combat sequences, ensuring smooth and realistic transitions.
– Apply root motion to ensure accurate and realistic character movement driven by animations.
– Utilize animation curves to drive gameplay elements and parameters within the animation timeline.
– Develop AI behavior trees to control NPC interactions and behaviors.
– Integrate physics-based interactions for realistic environmental responses.
– Implement motion matching techniques for fluid and responsive animations.
– Ensure the integration of cloth and hair simulation for realistic secondary motion.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
– Proficiency in Unreal Engine and its animation tools.
– Strong understanding of advanced locomotion systems and animation principles.
– Experience with IK, FK, and procedural animation techniques.
– Expertise in using animation montages, blend spaces, and animation blending.
– Knowledge of ragdoll physics and physics-based interactions.
– Familiarity with root motion and animation curves.
– Ability to develop AI behavior trees and implement complex NPC behaviors.
– Experience with motion matching and simulation techniques for cloth and hair.
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
