Russia launched one of its biggest winter barrages against Ukraine’s energy grid on the night of December 23–24, plunging multiple regions into blackout as Christmas Eve began. Entire oblasts such as Rivne, Ternopil and Khmelnytskyi were left almost completely without power amid freezing temperatures, while at least three people were killed and more than ten injured in the attacks.
