China is reportedly building its biggest and most powerful aircraft carrier ever — the nuclear-powered Type 004 supercarrier. Analysts say the massive warship could outweigh America’s Ford-class carriers and carry more than 100 fighter jets, drones and surveillance aircraft into a future Taiwan conflict. Reports suggest the carrier may feature electromagnetic catapults, stealth fighters and virtually unlimited range powered by twin nuclear reactors. Satellite imagery now points to possible service entry before 2030, fuelling fears that Beijing is accelerating its push from regional naval force to true global sea power in direct challenge to the United States Navy.
