As Iranian missiles and drones rain down on Gulf states, Russia has stepped into the crisis. President Vladimir Putin spoke with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, condemning U.S.–Israel strikes on Iran as “unprovoked aggression” and offering Moscow’s help to stabilise the region. The UAE has intercepted hundreds of incoming threats but still suffered impacts in civilian areas.
