Iranian lawmaker Mahmoud Nabavian alleged that President Donald Trump sent a secret message to Tehran before the Oman talks, requesting to strike “two points” inside Iran through an unnamed intermediary country. Nabavian claimed Iran warned Washington that any attack would trigger immediate retaliation, causing 3,000 to 4,000 U.S. casualties. He said lawmakers asked Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to inform regional partners that any base or company carrying the U.S. name would be targeted. The remarks followed Araghchi’s February 7 warning that Tehran would strike U.S. military bases across the Middle East if Iran was attacked, stressing that Iran’s missile programme remained non-negotiable during discussions with Washington.
