Donald Trump said “everybody’s going to make a lot of money” as he joined leaders from the DRC and Rwanda in Washington to sign their peace and economic accord. He announced that major U.S. companies would be sent to both countries to invest and extract rare earths and other assets, promising mutual profit. The ceremony was held at the newly renamed “Donald J Trump Institute of Peace,” with DRC President Felix Tshisekedi and Rwandan President Paul Kagame participating. The agreement follows months of tensions and accusations between the two nations, and includes a peace framework as well as expanded economic cooperation with Washington.
