TMC MP Derek O’Brien has launched a sharp attack on Chief Election Commissioner Chief Election Commissioner of India after a meeting with opposition leaders, alleging that the poll body chief asked them to “get lost” within minutes of the discussion. Speaking to the media, O’Brien claimed the meeting began at 10:02 AM and ended by 10:07 AM, accusing the Election Commissioner of refusing to hear concerns over the transfer of officials ahead of upcoming elections. According to O’Brien, opposition leaders had questioned how free and fair elections could be conducted if officials were being transferred during the poll process. He alleged that instead of responding, the Election Commissioner abruptly told the delegation to leave. Calling the episode “a shame,” O’Brien challenged the Election Commission to release the full video or audio recording of the meeting. #DerekOBrien
