We currently use a paid website tool called Harvest (https://www.getharvest.com/) to log hours for our employees, team members, and a few contractors, but it costs us $10/month per user (which is not sustainable if we add all our contractors), and it doesn’t allow us to customize the experience at all. The few contractors that we have added to the tool cannot take their time sheets and generate an invoice to submit to us for payment (the tool does allow us to invoice a client – which we do not use). So they still have to create a manual invoice every month. The other biggest problem is that the available hours are not locked down, so the contractors can post more hours than we have allocated them. We are looking to see if creating our own web-based site might be more beneficial than trying to make it work with Harvest. Note: I’ve looked at other online tools and found none of them solve the two issues I’ve listed here. I would love to get a quote to build a custom site that has similar functionalities to Harvest, but that gives us more control. Having the ability to create projects, add team members to each project, and have multiple price points for each team member is also essential.
