Taiwan will begin distributing millions of civil defence handbooks to households across the island this week. The move comes amid rising tensions with China. Citizens are urged to treat any claims of Taiwan’s surrender as false, and to rely only on official channels. The Ministry of National Defense says more than 9.8 million homes will receive the handbook, with English and other international-language versions to follow.
