We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Blockchain Developer with expertise in Substrate to join our team. This role is central to the development and maintenance of Compute Subnet 27 within the Bittensor network—a decentralized compute market aimed at democratizing access to computational resources.

Description & Responsibilities:
– Develop and Optimize: Take charge of developing and maintaining Compute Subnet 27, focusing on optimizing subnet communication, data sharing protocols, APIs, and databases.
– Feature Integration: Integrate new features such as GPU resource benchmarking, enhancing the functionality and efficiency of the subnet.
– Testing and Production: Thoroughly test code and transition to production, ensuring robust performance, reliability, and security.
– Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and enhance the performance, security layers, and scalability of the subnet.
– Maintenance: Keep the codebase updated and improve it to support the evolving needs of the decentralized network.

Qualifications:
– Substrate and Bittensor Knowledge: Basic understanding of Bittensor fundamentals and strong experience with Substrate frameworks. Familiarity with the Bittensor API is a plus.
– Strong Python Programming: Proficient in Python for developing scalable, high-performance applications. Emphasis on writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
– Cloud Computing: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Knowledge of deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment is beneficial.
– Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
– Team Collaboration: Outstanding communication skills are essential for effective teamwork in our remote environment.
– Continuous Learning: A commitment to continuous professional development in blockchain technology, AI, and cloud computing.
– Tools: Experience with Jira or similar project management tools is highly valued.
