Project:
Develop a pillar page for our individual ‘solutions’ pages available on our website. Where possible, use custom design modules that are interactive, and do not require any additional plugin/theme/heavy elements that could impact speed, for easy navigation to each individual page. Though you will have access to WordPress Elementor to build the general page structure and basic elements.
The scope will require some copywriting skills in order to develop the content for each solution – though this info can be pulled from the individual pages. On this merit, it is critical that you are completely fluent in English.
I suggest developing 2 or 3 mockup designs before the full front-end development to ensure that your vision is on the right track.
All development work should be interactive, highly-stylised and engaging to fit into current aesthetic of website colour-scheme and ‘feel’. Where possible/appropriate, modules should have unique, on-brand styling and UX/UI journey-focused with interactive elements to prompt clicks, engagements and navigation to the individual solution pages.
The underlying objective is to create a custom element/module/widget that is visually-pleasing and functional to direct traffic to individual solution pages, with content to top and tail the page around the company’s capabilities and products.
Hence, research into our current website will be required. As by nature, our product offering is complex (software solutions for directional drilling, well planning and drilling engineering operations in the Oil & Gas industry).
You have creative freedom to suggest new designs or theme customization as appropriate. You have complete flexibility to use off-the-shelf Elementor (or similar) modules with unique styling or to build custom modules from scratch, you may also wish to add custom CSS to off-the-shelf or existing modules.
The web page should have a corporate / tech aesthetic suitable for a SASS company engaged in the global Oil & Gas industry. All modules should incorporate responsive design for optimal viewing on various devices.
Keys to Success:
1. Speed – we require to move very quickly here, so decision will be largely based on quick turnaround – target is under 1 week development time
2. Interactive/immersive experience – every module on the page should be interactive and prompt user engagement; the more sophisticated the interaction can be for each module the better
3. Bespoke elements & custom design – any unique elements you can add to modules to improve the aesthetic/UX of the page is a plus
Suggested Approach:
1. Solutions Portfolio:
The focus is on taking users on a journey based on their segment of our market. Front and center will be the selection of job function area i.e. directional drilling / drilling engineering / well planning functions.
Each selection should have space for an image and prompt clicks, if animation or hover elements are possible that would be a plus.
The second tier will be links to our solutions. I would like these to have space for the heading, icon/image text and button link. It may make sense to implement some sort of hover function where the text appears when the icon and heading is interacted with/hovered over by the user.
There should be effective UX/UI with clear navigation to Solutions landing pages. Each category (Directional Driller/Well Planner/Drilling Engineer) could. have a static URL upon click for the ability to link to certain sections from other webpages / modules.
Design Guidelines:
Branding:
Adhere to the company’s branding guidelines, incorporating the logo, color scheme, and typography consistently across all modules.
Responsive Design:
Ensure the web page is fully responsive, providing a seamless experience across various devices, including desktops, tablets, and mobile phones.
Timeline:
Please provide best timeline for development review for each module and entire project. Anything that can be completed in under 24 hours is a huge plus, full project completion (before review and approval) deadline is Thursday 4th July 5.00PM GMT.
