Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to join our dynamic team on a project basis. The ideal candidate will be tasked with developing an innovative AI-powered tool designed to assist students in preparing for job interviews.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop a real-time AI-powered mock interview guidance system, capable of providing immediate responses to interview questions based on the user’s resume and our bootcamp’s lecture materials.
– Implement fraud prevention mechanisms to ensure the tool is used ethically and within predefined limits, including voice recognition and secure access protocols.
– Create a customizable interface that allows users to adjust the AI’s advice style according to their preferences.
– Build a system for uploading and analyzing resumes to tailor responses and integrate this feature with a pre-trained AI model.
– Collaborate with our staff to incorporate bootcamp-specific knowledge into the AI’s response database.
– Develop a prototype that can accurately transcribe interview questions and provide relevant answers using existing OpenAI models.
– Ensure the tool adheres to ethical guidelines and promotes genuine skill development over reliance on AI assistance.
– Design feedback mechanisms for mock interview practice sessions to enhance user interview performance.
– Construct analytics features for administrators to track the tool’s efficacy and impact on student job success rates.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

– Proficient in AI development and machine learning, with experience using OpenAI’s GPT models.
– Strong background in software engineering with proficiency in programming languages relevant to AI development (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
– Experience with speech recognition and natural language processing technologies.
– Experience with Airtable and NoCode tools (Make, Zapier) to streamline development and integrate various data sources.
– In-depth knowledge of database technologies, including both SQL and NoSQL, with a proven ability to define and implement efficient data structures and optimize database performance.
– Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
– Good English communication skills and willingness to what’s right rather than what’s quickest (e.g. invest time on project planning, presenting high-level diagram in Miro describing the solution, documenting highlights after the implementation).

Project Deliverables:

– A working prototype of the AI interview preparation tool.
– Documentation outlining the architecture, features, and user guide.
– A plan for ongoing maintenance and updates of the system.
