This project involves updating our current theme, enhancing performance, managing plugins, and ensuring a seamless user experience. The goal is to create a clean, optimized, and fully functional website.

Scope of Work:

1. Initial Setup and Backup:
   – Take a complete backup of the current theme and data.
   – Set up a staging environment.

2. Theme Update:
   – Update the current theme from Prestige version 5.7.1 to the latest version, 10.0.2.
   – Ensure all product, customer, and order records remain intact.
   – Re-install necessary plugins.
   – Clean the website of any residual code from the Gempage application.

3. Performance Optimization:
   – Conduct a comprehensive audit of the current site.
   – Optimize images, minify CSS and JavaScript files, leverage browser caching.
   – Implement lazy loading for images and videos.
   – Optimize server response times and set up a CDN.
   – Achieve a 90+ score on Google PageSpeed Insights and a load time of under 3 seconds on GTmetrix.

4. Plugin Management and Optimization:
   – Conduct a thorough audit of current applications, removing resource-intensive ones and optimizing the remaining ones for better performance.
   – Review all installed plugins to assess their impact on site performance.
   – Disable or replace unnecessary plugins.
   – Ensure all plugins are updated and optimized.

5. SEO and Content Migration:
   – Use Shopify’s tools to export/import data.
   – Maintain consistent URLs and set up 301 redirects.
   – Update metadata and alt tags.
   – Migrate blog posts, categories, tags, and comments.
   – Improve the interface for displaying blog content and ensure it is consistent with the rest of the site.

6. Order Tracking Integration:
   – Identify and integrate suitable order tracking apps or custom solutions.
   – Customize the tracking interface.
