Hamas on Sep 10 issued a rare statement from its new political bureau chief Yahya Sinwar. Sinwar congratulated Algeria’s Abdelmadjid Tebboune on winning election. Tebboune reportedly won an election whose results have been challenged by the opposition. In the statement, Sinwar reiterated his appreciation for Algeria’s support for Palestine.
