Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of a comprehensive online supply chain software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a robust platform that supports sourcing, purchasing, shipping and logistics, inventory control, warehouse and stock management, manufacturing, quality control, barcoding, sales, invoicing, re-ordering, receipts & payments, reporting, and more. This role requires a deep understanding of supply chain processes and the ability to integrate with various third-party services and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Milestone 1:
• Prepare a cost estimate budget of all the platform integrations and tools that will be necessary for the completion of this project

Milestone 2:
• Design and develop an end-to-end online supply chain software solution.
• Implement features such as sourcing, purchasing, shipping & logistics, inventory control, and more.
• Integrate the software with eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, Squarespace), 3rd party such as Extensiv Integration Manager, EasyPost, & Accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero), and automation tools (Zapier & inFlow API).
• Ensure customization capabilities for all database fields, documents, invoices, POs, etc.
• Develop team management features, including order assignment, user-specific access rights, and personalized defaults.
• Implement robust data management capabilities, including CSV import/export, data rollback, and versioning.
• Ensure the software is compatible with Windows, web, Android, and iPhone platforms.
• Work closely with product managers & designers to deliver a high-quality product.

Milestone 3:
• Lead and execute comprehensive bug testing procedures to ensure the software’s functionality, reliability, and user experience meet the highest standards of quality.

Note: Awarding of the project for full implementation is contingent upon submission and approval of Milestone 1. The company retains the discretion to pause or terminate the contract if the cost estimate provided in Milestone 1 is not approved, without the obligation to provide any justification.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on supply chain management solutions.
• Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks relevant to web and mobile development.
• Experience with integrating third-party APIs and services, including eCommerce platforms, shipping carriers, and accounting software.
• Strong understanding of database design, data management, and security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
