Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Back End Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the backend infrastructure of our large web application. This application is designed to help restaurant managers and their customers by providing state-of-the-art menu management, POS integrations, and comprehensive metrics. You will collaborate closely with our current senior backend developer to ensure the system is robust, secure, and scalable. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend development, architecture, security, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with the senior backend developer to design and implement the backend architecture.
– Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend systems using Laravel and PHP.
– Integrate with various third-party services including POS systems (REVEL, Chowly), payment processors (Quantum), and SMS services (Sendgrid/Twilio).
– Implement and maintain MySQL databases ensuring data integrity and performance.
– Optimize the backend for maximum speed and scalability.
– Ensure the security and data protection of the application.
– Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
– Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
– Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications:
– 5-10 years of industry experience in backend development.
– Proven experience with Laravel and PHP.
– Strong knowledge of MySQL databases.
– Hands-on experience with AWS services.
– Familiarity with analytics services (e.g., Matomo) and payment methods (e.g., Quantum) is a plus.
– Experience with POS systems (e.g., REVEL, Chowly) and SMS services (e.g., Sendgrid/Twilio) is advantageous.
– Spoken english
