Fico defended plans to build a new nuclear reactor at Jaslovské Bohunice, stressing that Slovakia’s rising energy needs and climate goals cannot be met without nuclear power. Calling critics “anti-Slovak,” he said the project would be economically viable under current European electricity prices.
