Russia has come out in support of India amid allegations of Indian government’s involvement in a plot to kill pro-Khalistan separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. The Russian foreign ministry dismissed all allegations made by the U.S. against India. It said that the U.S. has not provided enough evidence to implicate Indian involvement in the case. “The United States lacks an understanding of the national mentality and historical context of India’s state development, showing disrespect towards India as a nation,” Maria Zakharova said.
