Days after Yahya Sinwar assumed leadership of Hamas, Brigadier General Esmail Qa’ani, commander of elite Quds Force which is part of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), wrote to him. Qa’ani’s letter came amid Iran’s plan to “avenge” Sinwar’s predecessor Ismail Haniyeh, who was recently killed in Iran’s capital city Tehran.
