Job Description:
Mountain News Corp, owner of the ski and snow websites OnTheSnow.com and SkiInfo, is looking to work with a front-end engineer to lead development on our web client. Their primary responsibilities will development and maintain user-facing features on our React/NextJS web client. A product-first mindset with a knack for creating excellent user interactions is essential. This position involves close collaboration with our backend engineers, product leads, designers, and customer teams, requiring strong communication skills.

**Skills and Requirements**

– Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
– Prior experience with React and NextJS frameworks
– Expertise in CSS, with a focus on creating responsive and adaptive designs.
– Understanding of common web architecture, HTTP, RESTful APIs, CDNs, etc.
– Experience in shipping your code to to production and working with cloud compute platforms like AWS or GCP.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
– Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
– Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
– While not necessary, experience with mobile dev and react-native is a nice-to-have.
