You must have excellent communication and English skills. The team works flexibly, but our core hours are 9-3pm GMT so although we are open to applicants from anywhere, you will need to be contactable within these times and should have at least half of your hours take place within this time frame.
We currently need an average of c. 5 hours per week work on manual testing, with hours spread across min 2-3 days. There will be scope for hours to increase in busy periods and as the team grows. You will always have advance notice when QA needs are expected to be higher.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Interpret feature requirements and identify manual testing needs, ensuring relevant test data and tools, and playing the role of gatekeeper for high quality delivery of work
– Proactively manage the QA backlog and follow team processes to ensure speedy delivery of updates
– Report bugs or issues clearly and concisely with a logical approach to investigation and real attention to detail
– Provide feedback to the product management team to ensure long-term solutions are implemented as well as short term fixes
– Build excellent product knowledge with the ability to support other team members where needed
WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS:
– An interest in dazzling our users and not just getting stuff done
– An understanding of the product life cycle and role of QA in overall development processes
– Experience working in agile teams on existing products, delivering incrementally and adapting to changing requirements
– Basic understanding of the principles of web applications and how they work as well as knowledge of different hardware and browsers including Windows, Mac, Edge, Chrome and Safari
– Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and is a team player
– Amazing attention to detail and an analytical mindset
IT WOULD BE A EXTRA BONUS IF YOU:
– Have experience in working on consumer-facing web applications
– Have some knowledge of automated testing
– Have experience working in a technical Customer Support role or heavy interaction with other business divisions
