We are looking for a python developer to work on a project where we build a name matching feature. Based on a range of user input (name, country, …) the name matching function shall return matches from our database. Sounds easy, but this goes beyond fuzzy matching: besides simple typos or out of order name components, this shall also cover titles, nicknames, initials, transliteration issues (such as names translated from eg Arabic or Chinese into English or French, or other languages), etc.
This is a research and development project, where the successful candidate will work with our internal team on an ambitious goal.
If this is a good match, we definitely consider hiring full-time.
