Hours after peace talks in the U.A.E., Russia launched a massive overnight attack on Ukraine, deepening doubts over Moscow’s commitment to diplomacy. At least one person was killed and several injured in Kyiv as drones and missiles struck multiple districts, leaving parts of the capital without heating and running water. In Kharkiv, nearly 14 people were injured after drones hit a dormitory for displaced people and two hospitals. The strikes came a day after Ukraine targeted Russian military facilities, including an oil depot and radar site. The attacks unfolded even as U.S., Russian and Ukrainian negotiators met in Abu Dhabi to reach a peace deal.
