Russian President Vladimir Putin made a surprise visit to Chechnya amid Ukraine’s Kursk incursion. Putin met with Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov and other top Chechen officials. Putin & Kadyrov inspected Chechen troops and volunteers preparing to fight in Ukraine. Putin visited the special forces university and praised those who fought for the “fatherland.” Kadyrov informed Putin that the SUF had trained more than 47,000 soldiers since the Ukraine war.
