Vladimir Putin’s team has moved from vague signals about ending the Ukraine war to a blunt ultimatum. Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov has openly said that negotiations with Kyiv will remain stalled, even after “dozens of rounds of talks,” unless Ukraine takes this “serious step” and withdraws from the contested region.
