As the US–Iran war intensifies, a new front is opening quietly to the north: the Russia-Iran drone lifeline. Western intelligence now says Moscow is secretly shipping attack drones, supplies and battlefield support to Tehran, even as Israel strikes what officials describe as a key Russia-Iran weapons hub on the Caspian Sea. According to the Financial Times, phased deliveries of drones, food and medicine from Russia to Iran began in early March and are due to wrap up by the end of the month, after senior Russian and Iranian officials allegedly discussed the pipeline in secret following US Israeli strikes. Western agencies also believe Moscow is providing satellite imagery, targeting data and drone know‑how drawn from the Ukraine war to sharpen Iran’s attacks on US forces and Israeli assets.
