Project Description:
We are seeking an experienced iOS developer to enhance and complete our ongoing project – a Pupil Size Detection App. This app is designed to monitor and graph pupil reflexes, measuring pupil size under various light conditions.
Current State of the Project:
* The app’s framework, including the menu screen, pupil recording, and preliminary measuring algorithm (adjustment mechanisms), is developed for iOS.
* Storage of data
* Welcome screen
Areas for Enhancement:
* Algorithm Refinement:
* Improve the algorithm for more accurate pupil diameter measurements. The algorithm actually does a very good job, but I think it needs slight improvement. Current issues include gradient calculation, Scharr filter, Hough circles in the algorithm, image focus, and real
* Explore alternative filters (like Scharr’s, Canny, Prewitt) for gradient calculation.(https://github.com/BradLarson/GPUImage2/tree/master/framework/Source/Operations)
* Solutions for smoother pupil size algorithm such as Fast radial symmetry transform? Maybe this is something we can implement here. (https://github.com/Xonxt/frst)
* Measurement Accuracy:
* Enhance the accuracy of pupil diameter estimation (considering LiDAR or other features for estimation).
* App Store Deployment:
* Establish a payment system for app store deployment with a monthly subscription model, following a short trial period.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in iOS app development, preferably with projects involving real-time image processing.
* Strong understanding of image processing algorithms and techniques.
* Ability to integrate payment and subscription systems in the iOS app.
* Good communication skills and responsiveness.
If you believe you can contribute significantly to this project, we’d love to hear from you. Please reach out with any questions or for further clarification.
