Suspended JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna has been sent to six-day police remand. He was arrested straight from the Bengaluru airport upon his arrival from Germany where he had fled last month after allegations of widespread sexual abuse against him surfaced. Interestingly, an all-women cops team escorted Prajwal Revanna out of the airport in a symbolic move. Prajwal Revanna’s return to India came after his grandfather HD Deve Gowda, a former prime minister, warned him of repercussions if he didn’t surrender.
