Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written to newly sworn-in Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, congratulating him on his election victory and inviting him to visit India along with his family. The letter was formally handed over by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla following the swearing-in ceremony of the new government in Bangladesh. In his message, PM Modi congratulated Rahman on the Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s electoral victory and wished him success in leading the nation toward peace, stability, and prosperity. He highlighted the deep-rooted friendship between India and Bangladesh, built on shared history, cultural ties, and common developmental aspirations.
