We are looking for an experienced CakePHP developer for a long-term project, focusing on the consistent upkeep and enhancement of our existing applications. If you have a solid background in creating and maintaining CakePHP applications, we invite you to apply.

Here’s what you’ll deal with in this role:

Technical Requirements:
– Expertise in CakePHP
– Strong skills in MySQL & SQL queries
– Knowledge of frontend technologies including HTML, CSS & JS
– Familiarity with Bootstrap 3
– Experience with visualisation JS libraries, such as Chart.js and Apache eCharts

Occasionally, you’ll need to write custom SQL queries as an alternative to using CakePHP’s ORM. These tasks won’t be overly complicated, but they will require you to be at ease with writing SQL.

Some of our applications manage databases containing 500GB or more data. Hence, meticulousness in handling queries is paramount.

We prioritise clear and maintainable coding. We need code to be easily understood and readily maintained.

As you apply, please consider the following:
– Provide examples of CakePHP applications you’ve worked on.
– Describe how comfortable you are with generating SQL queries, including those with joins.
– Discuss your comfort level with integrating external libraries, like Apache E Charts, Datatables, and PHPExcel, into your projects.
