#### Position: Web Developer for Peer-to-Peer Shared Accommodation Platform

#### Job Type: Full-Time, Contract/Freelance

#### Location: Remote

#### Responsibilities
– **Platform Selection:** Research and recommend the most suitable existing platform or framework to use for our peer-to-peer accommodation site, explaining the reasons for your choice.
– **Develop and Maintain the Platform:** Build and maintain a user-friendly, scalable, and secure peer-to-peer accommodation platform using the selected framework.
– **User Account Management:** Implement robust user account functionalities, including registration, login, profile management, and room listing capabilities for landlords/tenants.
– **Search and Filter Functions:** Develop advanced search and filter functionalities, allowing users to find available rooms based on location, price, and other relevant criteria.
– **Listing Details:** Design and implement detailed room listing pages where landlords can provide comprehensive information, including descriptions, photos, and availability.
– **Communication Tools:** Integrate direct messaging features enabling users to communicate, ask questions, and request inspections directly through the platform.
– **Payment Integration:** Set up secure online payment systems to handle transactions such as deposit payments or booking fees.
– **Responsive Design:** Ensure the platform is fully responsive and functions seamlessly across various devices and screen sizes.
– **SEO Optimization:** Implement best practices for SEO to improve visibility and attract organic traffic.
– **Analytics and Reporting:** Integrate analytics tools to track user behavior, platform performance, and generate insightful reports.
– **Support and Maintenance:** Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular updates and maintenance.

#### Requirements
– **Experience:** Minimum 5 years of experience in web development, with recent and extensive work on peer-to-peer accommodation platforms or similar projects.
– **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL.
– **API Integration:** Experience with integrating third-party APIs for payments, messaging, and other functionalities.
– **Security:** Strong understanding of web security best practices to protect user data and prevent breaches.
– **UI/UX:** Demonstrated ability to design user-friendly interfaces and improve user experience.
– **Problem-Solving:** Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
