Minutes after resuming proceedings, Lok Sabha got adjourned until 2 p.m. on Wednesday. This after Opposition MPs strongly protested against Home Minister Amit Shah’s reference to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in his speech in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday during his reply to the debate on the Constitution. Shah has said there is now a “fashion” to keep repeating “Ambedkar, Ambedkar” but the Opposition had taken God’s name so often, they would have reached heaven. Opposition MPs called Shah’s remark an insult to the architect of the Constitution and started shouting “Jai Bhim” as soon as the house convened. Watch this video to know more.
